Felt like a repeat of AA's role in Hustle and Flow

I would have preferred they focus more on the violence and the impact it's having on this generation

...than try to pull people in by pretending this is a hip-hop movie...

Some really cringe-worthy acting moments

They never let his wife be more than an angry black woman

even though she was the principle of the school

...I could go on, but I'll just leave it at...a meh remake of hustle and flow.

I didn’t see her as angry for no reason at all.

Just wanted dude to stop lying about why he was chasing success.

A little bit of a Hustle and Flow in his character but I appreciated the light hearted moments and thought they addressed the violence thru his fear and his friends.
