no longer do or care about anymore?

For me it's tennis. Man, I loved it, watched it on TV and was a member of the school tennis team.

But now, I do not care about it in the least.

...didn't make the pros. Played rec for a few years then just stopped. Haven't played 5x5 in years now.

Also, fishing. I used to make my own lures and everything. Once I went to college I lost interest.

In middle school, HS and college and some years beyond I used to FIEND
for mixtapes, records, radio shows, Rap City and Yo!, new music, magazines, live shows, gear, my local scene
it was more than music. It was a way of life, a value system
(don't bite, be original, represent your clique/side of town)
like so many other fatherless children, late 80's-early to mid 90's golden age Hip Hop raised me

It all started to fall apart around the ringtone switch to digital era
Nowadays I'm meh about it
some of my old crew are trapped in the 90's
I try not to be and give the new generation a listen
but this "I'm a junkie dope fiend" sound ain't it

While I don’t play basketball like I used to I’m still into it. Watch it, appreciate it, etc.

Hip hip tho? That was my life until it wasn’t. For me once Hip Hip started feeling like a job I started to lose interest.

Also not really digging this new sound as well. I appreciate the Cole, Kenny hip hop but not much else from a lot of these new song singing ass rappers.

I’m a 90’s dude too so I still play Jungle Bros and Diamond D.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

This is nothing new though. Every generation is passionate about the music they grew up with and the new stuff ain't shit to them. My dad was a Motown-head, progressed through EW&F, PFunk, Gap Band... then R&B died to him in the 80s sometime. Fuck New Jack Swing, R. Kelly, Neo-Soul, so on. Most classic rock folks weren't digging Nirvana. My in-laws told me how much their parents hated the Beatles. I'm sure there were cats back in 1800 saying this Beethoven ain't shit, he ain't fucking with Mozart.
