my regular dentist was out with a family emergency.. another guy fit me in and threw a temporary filling on it.. says it'll last me a couple months but that I should come back and get it(and others) done when my regular dentist is back.

well... yesterday I managed to escape the root canal... here's hoping that pans out long term.
today.. work.. have to write a strategy proposal up this week... work is above my pay grade/title and out of the official scope.. but it's required and a unofficially why they have me... why do I always end up in these types of roles?... I should've got a falcon.

at my previous job i was constantly doing the work youre talking about. at my current one no matter how much i offer my help or ask to be given such tasks they dont bite. as long as the checks keep coming in then alright.
chill weekend. i had a headache for most of it though. dont know whats up with that. i need to stop being so lazy. straight up. i dont know what happened, for a good month or two i was on point then bam.
i skipped on the festival, went to my brothers for the cook out. dude needs to open a restaurant. my sister in-law throws down in baking too. they could definitely do well.
what do washed folks do for fun? particularly childless single ones that dont have much money to splurge?? lol

i think ive grown away from that. in middle school and high school i was all about solo tasks that would require some skill and creativity. lots of drawing, some model building.
ive always wanted to make furniture but i dont know if i would stick to it.
music creation always intrigued me too but im pretty sure i wouldnt stick to it either.
on a different note, my lunch salad was a fail. i forgot to buy cherry tomatoes, i bought some shredded carrots. salad tasted awful lol i managed to get most of it down but im definitely skipping the carrots tomorrow. im hoping they were mostly at fault.

Didn’t do anything yesterday. Slept in until noon and then watched tv in bed.
Then we ate Popeyes chicken and enjoyed the rest of our night.
I may go to the movies this week to catch up on the latest Avengers. I would watch on Kodi but it’s still doo doo quality.
Then after the kids return for a week they will go to their grandparents for 3 whole weeks. 3 weeks with no kids or daycare cost. We might OD.

theyre kind of worse than regular tuesday, maybe even worse than mondays.
i feel like "barely wednesday???"
slow day. cleaning crew threw away a package i needed to recreate. i had mostly gotten everything i needed from it but i was planning to scan it in to finalize details. i left it on my desk. it stayed there for a couple of days then today its gone.
boss has one more but he was not happy to hear that i "lost" the ones he had given me.

i need to fire mine up at some point. feels silly to do so for one person and im not much for having company over though lol
my brother spend sunday at a pool party that TO attended. i dont really know much more than that. he sent us a pic with TO. we all cowboys fans so that must of been cool. i do plan to ask him more when hes in town this weekend.

(portabella caps, yellow/red/orange peppers, yellow/red onions, corn-on-the-cob, and squash)
for all of us to grub on. Basked some russet and sweet potatoes. Then, loaded the russet down with sour cream, cheese, and chives. The sweet potatoes were loaded with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and honey. After grilling all of the veggie stuff, I threw some chicken sausages and turkey dogs on the grill for my wife and I.
Ate like queens and a king. Washed it down with some root beer.
And then, sat up til 1 a.m. on Tuesday watching tv.

My son sent me Com's new book that he had Com autograph for me. I received it yesterday but didn't open the package until this morning. It's pretty dope to receive unexpected gifts.
I think he remembers that Com is my favorite. He probably also remembers riding around with me, when he was two or three, with the Resurrection album on repeat.
Well, he asked his mom to get Com to do it when Com visited the studio for the GPB show - A Seat At the Table.
Check it out when time permits. Follow the account and share it also. I'm sure they could use more followers and supporters as they build this show by Black women.
Needless to say, this helped set the tone for today.
My 2nd anniversary is in a couple days. I'm praying hard to see a 3rd. LOL
It's hot. I'm starving. And I ain't going out to get nothing.
My staff has gotten on my nerves all day. One dude was hired as a "Senior" but I have to teach him to to facilitate meetings. The bamma also has not clue how to talk nor write. How the hell did they make that decision? I'd like to know the criteria used to choose him when they were hiring folks prior to my return.
Closed my door and locked it. Don't f'in bother me today, numb nuts.
gotta have a major deliverable in 24hrs... and it's challenging... and I probably should have pushed back before accepting it... hard work, potential for big trouble and basically nothing in compensation or recognition.
don't know why I always imagine that professional folk won't take advantage.. they almost invariably do... working life is messed up.. has to be a better way to be of value to society than this economic and labour system we have entrenched ourselves in...
ah well Thursday.. hope I can sleep tonight but I'll prolly be stressing over this thing for the next 24 well actually 26.5 hrs.
I got this work thing tho.. I've tried to push it to Monday or early next week so I can nail it better because I'd rather do it well than where I feel it's gonna be at... and if I can't push this then tonight and tomorrow are going to be stressful as I push through.. ah ok just got my time.. phew.
looks like that discarded packaging was not a big issue.
i was able to get the one the boss had and scanned it in. already recreated it as best as i think i can. boss was laughing about it yesterday so hes not mad. no harm no foul right?

I just recall you talking abou the daycare costs. SHoot! That shold hopefully cover that for you so you ain't cussing the daycare out every time you gotta write that check. I remember them days especially when they make you pay just to keep the child's slot while you're on vacation.
I might open a daycare and get someone else to run it. Hmmm!

We have to pay $200 to save their spot but we are taking them out for most of the summer.
Mother in law is also taking them for 3 weeks. Gonna be a great summer

Well, we both surprised each other, this morning, with white robes. She got mine monogrammed. I'm going to get hers done now since the place is not far from where I work.
And she just called to take me out on a lunch date.
Lord knows she gets on my nerves and I hers but damn I'd rather experience life with her than any of the other women I've ever known or could know.
