I had moments where I almost felt like I had seen the show before or was reading the book again as I watched. That's how eerily accurate some scenes are

I'll watch most anything with Ian in it but I was impressed with the prod quality and the fact that nothing was rubbing me wrong about it like most film treatments of a favorite book do... glad to hear this affirmed.

are kinda veering away from the source material tho, like Laura Moon has a way more significant role in the series than she does in the book, and that some of the gods introduced are entirely new to the story, so on and so forth
