"Black expressions that went mainstream"

- My bad
- (Not) a good look
- It's all good
- We're here
- Woke
- (Negro/Oh) please! ------>>>>(not 100% sure about this one, but I suspect it started with us)

I know there are others, but I'm having a hard time coning up with others off the top of my head.

I looked up this article and found more: https://madamenoire.com/235429/say-dat-10-black-words-that-went-mainstream/

I saw some newscasters tryna do the 'shoot' dance (blockboy JB, 'Look Alive'), and that was on some local station, not even L.A./NYC market-type.

If it’s done by black people that’s our vernacular and there’s an argument to be made that we’re not really all that mainstream
If it’s done by white folks, then they should be treated as immediately suspect for attempting to relate with words they don’t have a relation to
So being used by the mainstream wouldn’t mean that they’ve become mainstreamed

some shit about missing customer expectations and missing revenue in an interview (can't remember if it was something to investors or some generic bloomberg interview shit) and used the term 'My bad'.

I was blown away. Typing it out it reminds me of Elon Musk smoking a blunt for Joe Rogan's podcast. At least earlier in hip-hop the vultures had to have some kind of connection to co-op slang.

You see this wave happening in alot of black queer circles too; ive seen outright maga type racists and homophobes use 'yas queen' as a compliment, LOL.

i remember the two being interchangeable in southern rap, old outkast, goodie mob, lil jon, all that

and if im not mistaken it was the same thing as callin somebody gay
so it would mean that it went from fuck nigga to fuck boy to fuccboi used by white girls to refer to guys who don't text back lol
