- XC70: 2015 and 2016 models are showing up certified used. I could have had one (they had a 2015 with the drivetrain I wanted, the Drive-E FWD at the dealer I visited when mine got totaled). Prices aren't too ridiculous for the most part. It's like their S80, but a wagon, and lifted with body cladding. Solid ride. Infotainment is a lil behind, but usable for most people. these 2 were the last 2 model years so they're pretty solid. Probably your best bet.
- V60: a much smaller car, about the size of a Civic like the S60 on which its based. REALLY liked this car, and I was thinking of one back in 2014 when I test drove. that backseat ain't for adults, especially if a tall driver (i.e. me) is behind the wheel. cargo room ain't as good as VW's Golf Sportwagen IMO.
- V90: still new, but you might be able to find a 2017 off lease or a 2018 loaner/courtesy that's certified. it's the all new platform and drivetrains. non-Cross Country models are RARE because you had to order them direct from Volvo. Some dealers ordered as part of their allotment.
I was lucky AF when I got mine. Charleston (SC) is near where the new factory is located, and thus they're a flagship dealer, so they had multiple V90s, new, off lease, CC and even non-CC.
if you see one in your dealer you're gonna see a BUUUULLLLLSHIT asking price.
(though there's the EXACT one I really wanted at a dealer in the ATL area for like $10K under the starting price)
next year there will be a new V60 which, will resemble all other Volvos of current day, except it will be much larger than the V60 it replaces.
Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.
