One of my wife’s younger cousins got a girl pregnant a couple of years back. Broke up with her nearly immediately. Ended up getting back with her to a degree. And is now getting married as he’s set to enlist. He’s not slick, and I don’t want to waste three hours round trip getting down to Richmond on a Saturday plus a bootleg wedding. Wish me luck in trying to get out of this.

Back when my aunt passed her daughter sent out a FB post telling people about the funeral details.
My sister and I were all WTF? Then we thought about it. Much easier to reach more people but a bit insensitive or new schoolish
They having food and drinks?

It was an event notification that was open to attend When I found out my FIL (not his side) wasn’t going last night ... I got big deflated I could just kick back with the kid and run the streets

I read it as they didn't really want me to come (it was in Texas and I'm in Virginia). They really just wanted a gift.
My rule is unless you family, I am not sending your big headed kid a gift when they don't even know who I am.
