"Your connection is not secure"


          

The owner of board.okayplayer.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

^^ anyone else keep getting this error?

been happening all week intermittently

board.okayplayer.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not valid for the name board.okayplayer.com.

The certificate expired on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, 6:14 AM. The current time is Thursday, October 25, 2018, 12:07 PM. Error code:
SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

it's ok.. it's an old site it doesn't use SSL because it doesn't do anything that really requires it.... just don't poast your credit card info you'll be fine.

lots of sites don't use ssl.. see:

it's not as common as it used to be but it's not all that uncommon either. your browser is paranoid is all.

with actual pics of banana trees and ish.. I just picked the first randumb word (usually banana blame those dam pajama wearing bastards on that kid show) threw a .org on it and there it was all non ssl and everything.

no Gwen S. on either site.. and I can't really tell what that one is.. some kind of gamer's resource site or something not entirely clear... but that one does use SSL. lol figures. on banana secure two or more bananas unsecure.

the error comes from OKP internal links (bottom of the page, the for select list, etc)

a pause then reload and the page page will load as expected

my suspicion is that for URLs which don't explicitly designate a protocol our inbound server is defaulting to https (why SSL not TLS or something else I dunno) which is causing the errors

this was mainly just a question to see if anyone else was getting similar behavior
