"Photogs: Your favorite camera" Mon Oct-22-18 11:34 AM by hardware
not necessarily your 'best' camera or most used, or even one you've owned
what camera did you really fall in love with?
i still ride for my Pentax Q-s1. Its so quirky. I rarely use it nowadays but whenever i pull it out, i remember why i keep it around. Its not the fastest and doesn't have a wide use-case, but the images are about as warm as a digital file can be.

it's a super customizable so once you get your personal settings dialed in, all you have to do is point and shoot. It's small enough you can pocket it if you're wearing a jacket. Great unassuming camera for shooting on the street or in crowds.

I had a canon before but it doesn’t compare to the Fuji. I use it way more often just because it is easy to carry a round, plus it takes amazing pics

my X-Pro 1 is a really really close second. its not as small and light as the X100, but there's something about carrying it around, and there really is some kind of magic in these files.

Sony's color is great on the A65/A68, now I want to move to a full frame, that is the other motivation. I have always shot combination of still and video, so the Sony's work great for me.

Loved that camera. Almost small enough to fit into my pocket, so I took it everywhere. I learned how to lock the focus so I could manipulate the focal point manually (by moving physically). Macro lens was dope. I learned a lot on that camera and took some of my best nature photography with it.
Ultimately, the camera's limitations led me to a small DSLR. 3.2 megapixels just wasn't cutting it anymore, and while photos where excellent, low ISO quality in daylight the camera was almost unusable without a flash in anything dimmer.
