"What's your weakness in songs?"


  

          

the song could be pretty plain except it has a dope ____ and thats enough for you to love it?

a dope bass line has to be mine. not just constant pounding bass but a bass line that comes in and out, or hits you out of nowhere.

I'm with you on that, those kind of basslines draw me in as well. It doesn't hit you in the face, it kinda subtly amazes you and surprises you throughout.

My weakness is similar in its subtly. I love a piano on a track no matter how prominent it is or isn't ... but a subtle piano in the background of a beat is my ultimate weakness. Example being my favorite hip-hop song of all time:

all eyez on me comes to mind. my brother was always big into pianos in songs. for some reason i remember him saying something about wanting to hear acoustic guitars in rap songs. when i first heard k-os i was like whoa....that does work lol

like why wasnt this the whole song??? but i know part of what makes it so good is the switch up. without the first part it wouldnt hit so much.
