see when i contrast this with Richard Spencer getting decked I have a hard time reconciling all the factors at play in forming my opinions here... nawmean?

and yet I have no real deep qualms about the punch I mentioned above...
Is it simply man vs woman dynamic vs man vs man or the nature of what I know about him (richard) vs all the things I don't know about her (whoever she is)... neither was being particularly aggressive in the moment they were attacked... one attack appeared quite strong the other weak AF.. the issues of a woman's right over her body and the issues of race are not so massively disparate as to account for the ambiguity of my feelings save perhaps for subconscious bias or grey areas or lack thereof in my own views on the issues
both were comedic gold for different reasons do I leave it at that?
maybe I should just simplify this for myself... all four people attackers and atackees are douches'
see maybe I got a deeper problem because I just don't want to throw one of these people under the same bus of douchery even if I can't entirely condone their actions

all we know about this woman is she's anti-abortion. I know plenty of other people who are pro-life and even though i disagree with them, i don't wish/condone violence against them.
if i knew a woman who was a bonifide Nazi, i wouldn't hit her, but tiny violin if someone else does.

(Not saying I totally agree with this, but I think it's the basic formula at work in the hierarchy PG describes):
At the root of the "it's always okay to punch Nazis" meme is the harkening back to an actual genocide, the implication being that the ends to which the "Nazis" in question are striving are so awful, they represent a "clear and present danger" (to borrow a legal term for one of the Supreme Court's carve-outs where free speech might not apply) where "mere speech" isn't a sufficient defense.
On the other hand, the ends to which the pro-life protesters are attempting to push us are, I suppose, at worst the pre-Roe vs. Wade situation.
In the context of those historical points the quandry of my hypocrisy seems to hold less water but I guess when I start to get too broad and general about the basic concept of the civil rights and social issues at play throughout the history of oppression I don't see as much difference as there actually is in the details.
I'm wrong for it but I just can't get tired of watching Richard take one to the chops like that... I'm sorry I repent please let me atone somehow.
