"Give me some good, creative lies to get out of meeting friends"
"I'm a bit busy next week" is getting used too much. Don't get me wrong, I like catching up with them now and again but I just prefer not to go out as much as I used to.
I need some white lies that I can rotate and that don't look suspicious. What you got?

I'm not interested, y'all have fun though! I'm going to be involved in some other things that I've been trying to finish up. <<<<<that one can be truth although vague...because even sleep & just doing nothing at all fall into the description.
There are weekends when I really don't feel like doing shit but sitting around with the kids doing nothing at all...who am I kidding...that's EVERY weekend lol...

This is a REAL thing during two key phases in many mens' lives. Marriage & kids. The real ones understand it...the fake ones don't matter.
But seriously, you should let them know if it's the venue that's the issue. My homeys know I'm not spending time in a loud club or bar, unless we're dancing.

these aren't the olden days where you had to wait to get home to make a phone call. his phone would be blown up with texts within five minutes of everyone's arrival at said destination.
the "i forgot" line could still work, however. it's just harder to navigate unless the destination was far away or something.

Now it’s not about excuses but just variations of “I can’t/I don’t want to.” Whether I’m tired or too busy or I have something else I’d rather do or have other responsibilities....I just tell them the deal if I’m not coming.

Just go but don’t stay more than a couple hours. Use the excuses to get back home.
There’ll be days later on where you legit don’t have time for most of your friends. Or, depending on where you live, folks get married and move far as fuck away. It happens in houston on the reg. One of my best friends went from being 5 minutes away to being 45 minutes at best after we both moved. I have homeboys that are an hour away. We have to make up some kind of event to link up outside of texts. And it sucks sometimes.

Just tell them what you told us in your original post. Sounds very reasonable to me. If they persist just repeat the same thing. If they can't handle it then it is their problem and not yours.
