start making your grinding way round to pass go mofos... don't land on nobodies hotels.
I am not feeling this Monday... our boss, who made a big deal a few weeks ago about our core hours being 8am to 4pm and not flexible, has booked a meeting for us and a bunch of consultants not tied to the same inflexible hours for 3pm until 4:30pm...
this is just the latest in a string of misrepresentation and rip-offs... I haven't felt as miserable about how a job is panning out in a long time.... and I've had a few doozeys.
but I guess if they don't care if it's nothing more than a paycheck to me we can do it that way... for now.

I'm not going to do that but I doubt they will get the 2 week notice
I still die laughing over an old coworker who left during lunch while the boss and manager were out of the office.
old coworker: "I'm out, wife got the gig in TN. its been nice working with you guys"
secretary: what about giving 2 weeks notice?
old coworker: they will notice on Monday when I don't show up
but yeah, I'm out. I just have to time it so it doesn't impact our finances in the short term.
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Always feel like Mad Max rolling up on the office on Mondays.
Got a message on Slack this morning at 8:34am... they had cookies and brownies in the break room. At 8:30am. C'mon, man... I want to go home and lift, then patch and prime the living room wall and work on my bike.
I gotta get to work on getting myself set up to work from home.
Also, I'm looking for a truck. Might grab an old Ranger or F150 if I can find one for a good price. I need to house stuff a lot now, and I'm tired of renting from UHaul.

I was.. I'd been doing this same job for the last three years on contract that way... now that I'm an employee I no longer am able to do that despite the fact that my hiring and active manager had indicated some flexibility around that during the interview... point blank ever since taking the perm position it has been one disappointment and let down after another... even right off the bat on our first pay day they paid us for a stat that we weren't entitled to yet having just started and then had to claw back the money from us on the next check
