As far as I know... it's always just been called 'pride' for short. There may well be some intention surrounding dropping (what started out as) 'gay pride' to be more inclusive of the larger community but that's just me guessing. I really don't know.

I never brought up the idea of inclusiveness. But I can guarantee that because I don't support the homosexual agenda I would not be welcome on an inclusive level if I went down to a Pride festival and voiced my opinions. Keep with the party thing you said, if you throw a party that you say is welcoming to everyone, and I show up, tell you that I don't like you or any of your guests or your house and in fact don't think your party even has the right to exist, you're not "being intolerant" by telling me to leave. Telling me to leave doesn't mean your party is no longer inclusive or welcoming, because in this instance, I am being a complete piece of garbage who goes to random partys and hates on them.

Claims of inclusiveness only to a degree of agreement. That's not inclusive. That's tolerance.

One of my conservative acquaintances on FB posted this meme (https://www.facebook.com/statismmakesyouaslave/photos/a.601212709976771.1073741828.279205205510858/1662418943856137/?type=3&theater) displaying the Wikipedia definitions of Gay Pride, Black Pride, Asian Pride and White Pride... and it highlights how White Pride is the only one that's defined as racist (the actual post says "All the prides are whack... people who focus on this kind of stuff are seriously losers....", creating the usual false equivalency that runs rampant on FB).
Then the next day, I see this story about a Crossfit box losing alot of members because the owners canceled a special workout to commemorate Gay Pride Week and members are boycotting the gym.
The gym owner's reasoning? "Pride" is unhealthy because... the Bible.

The persistent yet imaginative ignorance of these folks is exhausting.

White folks can go to the Black Pride parade and have a good time, experiencing another culture.
Black folks can't go to a White Pride parade, unless they want to have insults hurled and them, be harassed and maybe put themselves as risk for their safety.
The non-racist white folks need to hold the racist white folks accountable for shit like this.
