Maybe it was the mustache a year ago. But at this left a dangerous man is looking to be coddled. He's trying to get rid of any opposition, working in conjunction with a foreign enemy, firing all legal council and he's completely supported by a fanatical faction of government. John Bolton will tell him exactly what he needs to hear. He's the Yoo of nuclear war.

essentially, Bolton's excuse for ducking Vietnam was that it wasn't worth his life to serve in a war liberals didn't want to win, but if we had been down with nuking the shit out of Asia, then that would have been a different story.
given that the previous administrations have been seen as rational internationalists and yet have also been totally cool with thousands of innocent casualties from drone strikes and maybe millions of refugees from the wars on drugs/terror, i'm really concerned about how far a monster like bolton would take it.
He weakened global security, enabled Donald Trump further, and he’ll continue to go on to be paid handsomely. His firing is not a nuclear war reprieve in the least

dude is a true autocrat who needs complete sycophants around him that he completely trusts.
there have been tensions between them going back to when pence was maneuvering behind the scenes to set up his own political operation and trump nixed it.
