I only found out about it via the grape vine. And now we're on a passive aggressive email chain and his ass may be gone and done and locked my department up before I get in tonight. I'm livid.

We have four quad screens. One to monitor and manage transportation, one for equipment, one for procesing operations. All to cover and assist 26 facilities in a night and coordinate with the 7 other command centers who have their own quads and different facilities. Add that on to six phone lines. And it's a busy operation.
IT communicated that we'll go to single screened desktops for five days, during one of the least coordinated times in the field, with no notice to the field, and no central number to be reached at.
It'll be a disaster.

Made sure to illuminate the limitations that we'll have in addition to mentioning that we were given zero heads up. He contracted the email audience after that. So now I will illuminate problems in real time for days while continuing to expand the audience. He knows he's in the wrong. And if he hadn't fucked us so hard I might've just had a side bar. But going into a holiday weekend, with zero heads up, and multiple national issues to address, to not even have the professionalism to say what he was planning on doing. I'm not eating these failures on my own

Everyone has juice. Your actions are dictated on how much more you feel like progressing and what kind of repercussions you can expect. At some point people will set their own limitations in any government organization. By apathy or fucking up. Dude won't be and can't be fired for this He's already tried to play it off as if he was just following a plan. So my response has to be both agressive, professional, and with a wider audience.

Because they stay flubbing projects. Anytime facilities and IT get to doing things they just wing it. With zero time lines for external communications an it's having significant impact. And the only reasons they're able to get away with it is because the VP isn't significantly impacted and those that are don't speak up.
