Staying at this white families home. It's funny to think there was a time when Unwouodnt have a second thought about that. Now I'm like do so and sos parents know a black person is staying in their home?

Seriousy though it'll be pretty chill. Just don't talk religion or politics. Enjoy the food. If you can make it out to the beach. Give every other black person you see the nod. It's going to be crowded as fuck with more tourists than ever so yeah keep ya nose clean and enjoy yourself.

LOT of historic sites & architecture. Check out Rainbow Row, go to the Charleston Historic Market, take in the riverfront. Basically just do all the tourist stuff you read about.
Great place to VISIT, but I wouldn't want to live there....

i went down there with my family.

sullivans island - didn't see any
all the restaurants i went to - no black ppl
the night market - like 2 or 3.

it got so noticeable at one point i just started playing where's waldo for black ppl

I tried to get to a soul food spot but the traffic was terrible and it was too close to closing time.

one problem with southern cities is a lot of the smaller ones still have their side and our side.

so i tried to take them to this soul food spot that a friend recommended. we cross over this bridge and i knew instantly i should just turn around because they df with the black side of town anywhere really

but i kept driving. then the fam pulled the "gun store, gun store, liquor store" shit on me and ordered me to turn around smh.
