"your five favorite cars ever that somebody in your family owned?"

it could be your moms, pops, uncle, anty, grandmother, gramps or cousin, but they had a ride and you always remembered it.

i had a cousin who had a fly corvette when i was a kid
and i was so hyped that i went to the local mall and had a iron own t shirt made of the car back in the day.

My current car (2013 Infiniti G37x) had a little less than 4k in mileage when I bought it in 2014. Will always buy used to save a few bux while still getting a (basically) new whip. Still under warranty.

I definitely have memories as a kid of him giving me a ride in it, and being awestruck by it the few times they took that car to visit us. Many years later he gave it to me for my first car. It was a bit rough by that point, but I loved it and it definitely helped solidify my car obsession.

Currently my Dad has a Honda S2000. He got it for an amazing price and its super clean. I routinely ask if he's ready to sell it to me yet.

My other favorite family cars have been my own...

my uncle had a Peugeot in the 80's. https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/PEUGEOT-505-2819_15.jpg

my grandad had this boat of a caddy
http://automotivemileposts.com/cadillac/images/1970/cadi1970sdvhardtopprod.jpg

that's it as far as cars I wanted or loved. Then again, we didn't have a car for most of my childhood so anything running was impressive to me.

My pops had:

a '78 Lincoln MK5
a '79 Olds 98 Regency

My uncle had:
a '81 Cutlass,
a '79 Cougar ( Mint Green, ya heard?)

and my aunt had a '79 Camaro. She told me I could have it when I grew up. By the time I was old enough to drive, it was a raggedy piece of rusted out shit.

'84 Audi 5000S - uncle. Started my long standing Audi fettish

'93 Honda Accord EX - aunt. Learned to drive in that one when it was new. Sold me on Honda engineering. Then they started getting stolen

'95 Ford Taurus SHO - dad. The 4 door Mustang GT. Fastest 4 door american sedan at the time, if memory serves. Intake runners still works of art. Dad bought it new, and drove it for 20 years until it cost more to work on than the car was worth.

'87 Buick Grand National - brother. I remember driving to Park Slope, BK, NYC to see this car he ended up buying. Hell, I remember the day he was sold on a Grand National in the first place. We were chilling in front of our parents crib shooting the shit. At the time he wanted a box Caprice with 10 foot antennas and a box constantly playing N.O.R.E.'s Superthug. He was going to call it the 'What-What-Mobile'. Our buddy and I then went on a rant on GM G-Body cars, and one of my childhood friend's mothers has a Monte Carlo SS. We got to talking about the Grand National, and how it could beat a 'Vette, which likely led to it's downfall. While we're talking about the legend of the Grand a white Buick Regal T-Type slowly drives up the street. 2 minutes later, it drives back down the street. My brother was hooked. Thousands of dollars, 2 engine rebuilds, 3 transmission rebuilds, and a ton of other upgrades later, it's still a wonderful car

'96 Saturn SL2 - me. My first car. Drove it off the lot new. They did the Saturn cheer and everything. Still have the picture
