didn't even matter that everyone who was actually close to Patrice, like Jim Norton, Colin Quinn, Patrice's girl Von, all defended her. A lot of Opie&Anthony loyalists are just fucking loons. They're the ones who still worship Anthony, and probably read Return Of Kings every morning to start their day.

There's a reason why its not hard to run into Chris Rock, Louis CK, Aziz, even Chapelle at a random comedy club at 2am in the morning.
Netflix wrote that big check and she probably just winged it. I feel it similar to Carmichael's new special on HBO. It was still funny unike Schumer but the overall material felt a bit bare.

I don't blame her if she cashed a check, but she needs to blame herself for the poor reviews of her current special. It's wack. It feels like
a) she hasn't been working hard on new material b) she's been performing for HER audience which is gonna love whatever she drops. then when it went out to a wider audience it wasn't that well received, and she can't figure out why people might not be feeling it.
That being said the Alt-Right fascination with Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer is pretty stupid. I wouldn't be shocked if some of her shitty ratings came from trolls. I think a lot of her shitty ratings came from comedy fans too, though.

She seems to provide a steady stream of low hanging fruit for them to grab and earns a fair amount of negative attention she gets.
Schumer more naturally presents that independent, IDGAF persona and tends to fire off strong responses to those attacks.
Conversely, Lena Dunham seems so determined to beat people over the head with her persona so much that she inevitably says and does ill-advised things that are easy to throw back in her face.

She took a general poll on who supported Trump and who supported Hillary. And to be honest, it was almost 50-50. So she starts going on about how she can't understand how they support a sexist bigot, etc.
She brought a dude onstage and asked him to break down why he supported Trump. The dude (who was an attorney, no less) gave that generic, "He says what's on his mind, he's a straight shooter, he'll shake Washington up," and she quickly booted him off the stage.
A few Trump supporters booed her and got up and left their seats. At that point,I just assumed they were going to get drinks or to the restroom until the political stuff was over.

the rest is mentioned above. I think they didn't mind her before that. There's a crossover with alt-right types and O&A listeners. she used to go on the show all the time. And they didn't seem to mind her because they saw her as raunchy, non-pc and not feminist.
