motivations behind those thoughts (or vice versa), actions etc are all just machinations of some projected self, an ego?

even me making this post, is it because I seek to be percieved as a deep thinker and as some form of validation for my otherwise work-a-day, humdrum life or that I'm really seeking an answer and/ or dialog through the medium of an anonymous online forum?
