Hol' up! This shit greasy as hell

Jaunts to estate in Mar-a-Lago, and secret service charges for his son's business trips across the globe, are costing American taxpayers

Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year.

The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).

Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch estimated Mr Obama’s travel expenses totalled an average $12.1m in each of his eight years in the White House. “This is an expensive way to conduct business, and the President should recognise that,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, speaking to the Washington Post.

“The unique thing about President Trump is that he knows what it costs to run a plane.

“Going down ain’t free.”

The three Mar-a-Lago trips in Palm Beach cost the federal treasury around $10m, based on figures used in an October government report analysing White House travel.

This includes cash for coast guards to patrol the exposed shoreline.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw also says it has cost local taxpayers $360,000 in police overtime for his three weekends in Florida since 20 January.

The Post also revealed it cost $88,320 to put secret service agents up in a hotel while son Eric Trump visited Uruguay to promote a Trump-brand condo tower.

Records show it cost $5,470 to put up secret service officials at the AlSol Del Mar hotel in the Dominican Republic, as they scoped out the area, ahead of a similar visit by Eric Trump.

The daily costs went from $1MM to $500k to now $100K

So apparently quieting down some

But still gonna blow the Obama travel budget
And probably the trump travel budget too

The diff and worst part with the trump tower expenses is that nyc alone is apparently covering it, for now. At least the Florida vacations are dropped into the big federal budget

it has nothing to do with facts, figures, politics, etc... these fools just in love with Trump. There is no reason to argue with them.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

all you needed to know about a vast majority of his fan base. They could give a fuck about things like facts or transparency.

A year ago, Russia was seen as a one of the biggest geo-political foes to the U.S. Obama was perceived to be 'weak' on foreign diplomacy with Putin. Fast-forward to #45 and now Republicans view them favorably and are cool with lifting those "weak" sanctions on Russia.

Pence is on record saying a ban on Muslims is unconstitutional no less than a year ago, but his political base is cool with one now. When asked why Saudi Arabi isn't included on the list of banned countries, the administration says it's because we have extremely good cooperation with their police and government. But, but, but I though Obama was so weak on our foreign diplomacy? I thought our previous administration couldn't be trusted? I thought the media was dishonest and lied?

#45's base for the most part is beyond repair. There is no reasoning with the vast majority of them. It's scary.

Now copping pleas for RUSSIAN INTELLIGENCE OPS.

There's a non-patriotic conservative that Trump has revealed. Same people who cry about the sanctity of the flag when a football player takes a knee.

This is the revealing. The country has been confronted with a man who is the absolute anti-thesis of what the country's historical meaning and identity is supposed to be. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that Trump will start a war. His continued and increase of power depends on the suffering of his own people. He will manufacture this suffering and use it to justify the dismantling of more checks and balances. And there's a pathway for him to do it that has been spelled out in warnings from people alot smarter than me.

even if it's just preaching to the choir, so that in the future we're not lulled into false 'we should respect and compromise with their deeply held conservative values' bullshit.
