There are many smaller communities that are great, it's nice that whatever you are into there are people there that are into it.

Improv comedy, specific workout plans, an artist etc...

The big popular subs like anywhere else on the internet get over run with dickheads, but I think a lot of people gets scared off of reddit by all of the bad (and rightfully so), but it's easy to unsubscribe from all of that and find the places you can enjoy talking with people.

A lot of cool people on reddit. A lot of douchebags, too. Some of everything.

I've avoided reddit for same said reasons. Would like to find those groups you're talking about.

I listed things like improv, that's a big hobby of mine, I've made good friends on there that I've gotten together with in other cities to do shows.

If you think of any hobby, celebrity, TV show etc you are into there is probably at least 1 active sub reddit dedicated to it.

i think what happened is that it was an - in joke for a lot of people

then it got popular and now its making the front page

but, the cool thing is sometimes a thing thats deeply black and deeply spot on is posted and non blacks are like "I don't get it...whats so funny? I need this explained" and the black posters are doing back flips because its spot on.

then when those posts come up the second great thing is the response from black people along the lines of "oh, so its cool to laugh at us but when the pain comes through its not so funny huh?"

He is a skater/left leaning dude but since he is white I feel like he prolly isn't seeing some of the trigger I would see.

I have no idea how it works but he talked about subreddits and what not.

It's the internet so if you go looking for political shit I bet you will see all types of racist shit.

When I search UX topics sometimes a Reddit thread pops up. Never seen anything besides answer to the questions.
