My optimististic reading is that an originalist would be an anathema to Trump. Because the truth is Scalia wasn't an originalist. He did it when convenient. The question is he an ideologue which I don't have a clear answer on yet.

I'd be fine with this if Mitch McConnell hadn't stolen the seat from Obama. (Well, not fine, but no more angry than I was over Alito.)
