"Were Obama voters this annoying when he won the Presidency?"
I've seen guys on the job run up to coworkers and do the Drain the swamp chant, or any one of his mindless catch phrases sounding like their team won the Championship. I don't recall the Obama voters being such annoying assholes.

Maybe someone can find isolated examples - but on the Obama supporters were hopeful - and yes, they made have said "change" a bit more than we'd like - but they weren't gleeful mocking people or trying to piss them off by being an asshole to them.
I think next time we should - really fuck with these people because they are every bad thing anyone has said about them.
any time you're tempted to even consider an equivalency between the 2 POTUSes or their voters/supporters or their administrations just remember - Obama was pretty well qualified to be POTUS. Trump is NOT.

The idea that Clinton knows whats best for everyone in america yet had no real list of accomplishments besides rebranding CHIPS 'bout 20some years ago probably made people HAPPY to vote for that idiot Trump.
I admit to this day that Obama is a heroic figure to me. Especially his grace in response to the racist attacks like the birther shit. The ONLY time I felt he betrayed that grace is when he said he would have beat Trump. I thought that was really out of character for him. It felt like it was the ONE TIME that his ego got the better of him. Unless there was a strategic reason for doing so I'm unaware of. But that one mis-step just shows how disciplined he was to pragmatism through his presidency.
One thing that occurred to me was that after Obama's victory there was an HBO doc that contained nothing but footage of republicans reacting to his win on election night. Some crying....others saying they would move to Canada....etc etc. I probably watched it 4 or 5 times. Usually just using it as background while I cooked or cleaned. God it was so funny seeing how melodramatic they were. So I guess now that the shoes' on the other foot...yah, maybe I was a little vindictive and immature in celebrating that footage so much lol. I'd guess that Trump supporters would laugh at me and say I'm being melodramatic. I sincerely think the stability of the entire world is in jeopardy. I sincerely think this election has the potential to result in the undoing of the country. I'm sure there's Trump supporters laughing their asses off at people with my views.

I think it's a dig at Hillary's team. When you win the popular vote and lose it's usually a sign your campaign was terrible. If she worked a little harder and didn't faint she probably wins. Still can't believe she fainted on 9/11.

I tried the "respect the office" and "I lived through Bush and Reagan" conversation with him, but he pretty much admitted that he'd never show him the respect deserving of a president.

Yes, we were. We gloated. We acted like the world was ours and that we could say anything to anybody because we'd finally arrived. We started talking reckless about anybody and everybody that was anti-Obama. This went on for at least several weeks.....
That is what the OP was asking about. Annoyances. Not violence. Not hate crimes. Not any of that other stuff you're talking about. I doubt anyone disagrees with the facts you've stated....but this post isn't about that. So loosen up on the grip of your armchair a little....
