"That bus crash in Tennessee is so sad and scary (swipe)"
Tue Nov-22-16 02:30 PM by walihorse

http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/22/us/tennessee-school-bus-crash-mother-of-driver/index.html

Poor parents. I can't even fathom how that must feel. Worst part is that it seems that the bus driver who is responsible for all the kids was at fault.

¿If a fat guy falls in the woods and there is no one around to see it, do the trees laugh?

ready to die before the accident.

don't think that's been confirmed yet tho.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

It seems it was an accident, but I'm not sure what his mother saying he was a good person has to do with the unfortunate outcome.

to calling his mother.

Reading the article I leapt to the assumption that he called his mom right after the accident, which would be a terrible lapse of judgment.

That picture is scary as hell though. Looks like it pretty clearly flipped before hitting that tree. Must have been going way too fast.

before he called his mom. he called his mother to tell her about the accident and the police took his phone from him.

He was apparently trying to get the kids off the bus too, so I think the red eyes in that pic are from him crying. The issue is him speeding...man, i want to say i hope he wasn't at fault and it was a bus malfunction. horrible to say but you don't want to think he risked those kids life like that.

to get *that* phone call at work would have been devastating.

They're homeschooled now and we both work from home.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

because of negligence.

Tennessee too.

Sad story all around but trying to punish someone for a tragedy that was clearly not intentional is terrible. Unless homie was on the phone or under influence of some mind altering substances vehicular homicide seems excessive.

Also considering the FACT that killer cops are getting charged with manslaughter when they are clearly 1st degree murder cases.

..dude said the charge of vehicular homicide was excessive.

you know what was excessive?

his fuckin' speed.

as it stands, this is a textbook definition of vehicular homicide (involuntary, at best).

the speed limit.

With that said "speeding" is relative.

Also as a former teacher I had had my share of field trips and terrible drivers now am I making excuses no but lets not act like him being young and Black accounts into his "speeding"

Lets put speed monitors on buses and penalize each driver that speeds.

I give no fucks about his demo, or if speeding is relative or none of that. That fuckin bus damn near got cut in half. If he was driving over the speed limit and that led to him losing control and the subsequent crash...he gotta go out...period.

Folks in parts of the south speed, but south-side/Fairyland, north shore and east Chattanooga, you do not speed unless you want to end up in a ditch or around a tree. This dude's speeding is abnormal and the #1 reason they are coming down in him, hard.

not sure why there are no reports of disciplinary action taken in the wake of the previous incident, but heads need to roll on this.

the issue with speeding in this city isn't race related...it's culture related. He's driving just like everybody else in this place drives...it just so happens that he was driving a bus and had questionable behavior prior.

I shit you not when I tell you that i saw a CRV almost cause a 5 car pile up on the way in to work today. And that ain't special...nigga that's a Tuesday

I left work to the sound of sirens and fire trucks from every direction.

5 minutes later...the School my children attend sends out a blast talking about counselors due to this unbelievable tragedy.

Mind you, I haven't heard SHIT but sirens so I'm wondering what the hell they are talking about.

Anyway, I get home, see the midgets are safe and start checking the news.

This same bus company has been at the center of scandals since they started the contract.

About a couple of years ago, a driver (willingly) kidnapped a 15 year old, drover he back to the crib, then got shook when he saw the manhunt out for her and dropped her off in the middle of nowhere for her to walk back home.

None of the buses here have seatbelts.

Most of the drivers are soulful or close to it.

As some of you have seen, parents been complaining about this dude for a minute. The fact that he looks like one of us has now made it a national news story.

The Director of Schools is on an interim basis, and was lobbying for a full time spot. This may have just put the kibosh on ALLADAT....

If you've never driven thru Chattanooga...let me tell you that terrain is treacherous as shit all thru the city. Mountains galore with minimal guard rails...and everybody is flying thru these roads because...I mean who's really VISITING Chattanooga on vacation?

I drove into the city in March for the 1st time in the middle of a torrential downpour and I thought I was gonna die multiple times. I'm better at that shit NOW....but the need for everybody to tailgate and the absence of turn signals fucks with me. I thought I moved AWAY from Indiana....

we'll see.

Should have jumped on the chance to buy a southside condo years ago and left Atlanta behind. There are parts that are freaky as shit to drive around in because of all that you said w/curves and elevation shifts with horrible sight lines. That's just part of central Tennessee though. Years ago, when I'd go there for business, I racked up 3 speeding tickets in the company Impala for doing never more than 10 over, and I get why. Since then, I drive like a blue hair when I'm up there, for the cops and safety. Feel bad for the community, still really like that city despite how stupidly gentrified it's become.
