Looking for any reason to dust their feet off and cast people aside rather than really help them with their everyday. I see the satisfaction they get out of it sometimes too.
Had a case recently with an employee for a client telling different stories to everyone to try to milk some more money out of community organisations that don't really have the spare cash to give. The church they tithe to didn't appear anywhere in the conversation about their money, predatory lenders sure did though. The rest of us had to try to work something out for them.
It's little wonder that church influence in communities worldwide is waning except where there's still bigoted mindsets to exploit.

They sent 3 dudes each 6 feet tall in suits and sunglasses to my ex'es apartment when they 'revoked' her membership. Granted, that was more of a cult (Church of Christ) but I had to send a threatening email using producer connections from my tv station to get them to back off with the phone calls in the days afterwards.
1) Targets minorities on college campus's under false names (only to reveal itself much later down the line) 2) Has issues regarding instruments and accapella music 3) Harasses, abuses and stalks members
