Black folks, especially rappers, have all but abandoned beatboxing for unknown reasons.

As with anything/everything else, white folks will take what we have discarded and run with it. Then we turn around and ask questions like "aye when did white people take over beatboxing??"

Non-Blacks have always kept it traditional. They been beat boxing for a long ass time!! This is why artist who were large during the golden era along with underground artists can still eat when they travel abroad.

Can't remember the year, but the point is that they as well as other non-Black groups kept the tradition alive.

In terms of popularity in the US

I mean -- the other night I passed a group of dudes in the whitey white part of town sitting on their porch sounding terrible. I laughed though.

It's kinda the same how Robert Johnson's guitar licks somehow resulted in Yngwie Malmsteen.

These new beatboxers can make all the right sounds but end of day....they just can't swing. And that's kinda the most important part of it.

but got commercials and shit.
It's like "oh look! he can do what the blax do!"
Shit like this is why white folx look hella
jealous of us. We do something amazingly, and
they'll ignore it or demean it but turn around
and praise their own for doing it 1/85th as good.
Same ol American song.
