Portugal had an illegal drug trade. And they had murders as a result of that illegal drug trade. Those murders dropped significantly after the illegal drug trade was shut down. Same thing would happen everywhere else.

but i dunno how much.
b/c much of the shooting and other violence in the hood is now spurred by personal beefs and not necessarily related to turf wars related to drug dealing.
btw, i think drug legalization needs to be accompanied by job training and placement b/c those folks running the various black markets for illegal drugs will need some new income and something(s) to do to pass the time they used to spend selling drugs. plus markedly reduced barriers to drug rehab programs and an increase in the number of drug rehab programs and bed availability, of course.
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

It may go down depending on how high the drugs that are being regualated are being sold. Because a black market would still exist if the regulated drugs are being sold at steep price compared to what people can get them on the streets for.
