I wasn't personally bothered by him saying rape. I get the exception folks are taking... BUT

come
the
fuck
on

I'm glad he didn't apologize. People ARE too PC, including the writer of that article:

"FlyLo was tweet-screeching for respect and essentially comparing the plight of a producer in the rap studio to that of a woman in the workplace (less pay for equal work, no recognition for ideas that get credited to someone else and so on)."

What a fucking reach!!!

to compare his plight.

but no, he's not getting what he believes is his due from dudes in the music industry so the real problem is the women who have a problem with his language.

you got fight for people that are "too PC" but you haven't put hands on the rappers ripping you off and keeping money out of your pockets?

ok bro

Instead of defending his right to express himself artistically, he should be putting hands on someone?

Are you a "fake tough guy" for not apologizing

that's a fucking stupid analogy? Yep.

Freedom of speech means you can't get arrested for what you say unless you cause physical harm from it. But it also allows me to call you a fucking moron if you're a fucking moron.

The following is from this piece-of-shit article:

"OK, we looked up the definition.
noun
1. unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the
vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a
sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent
of the victim.
2. statutory rape.
3. an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation;
violation:

Note: “plunder” means “steal goods from (a place or person),
typically using force and in a time of war or civil disorder”;
“despoil” means “steal or violently remove valuable or attractive
possessions from”. Considering the modern prominence of producer
tags (i.e. “If young Metro don’t trust you…”, “8-8-808 Mafia” and
so on), despoiling and plundering do not seem to be going on here."

Anyone else notice how they didn't address the words "abuse"
and "violation"? They would've had to admit that he was making
sense in that case. I may have at least respected the article
had they acknowledged that his using the word to mean "violation"
makes complete sense.

Personally, I'm not fond of the use of the word in that way,
but I hear alotta people (men and women) using it in ways such
as this. It's just really common to use the word to mean "violation".
It's hard to say there's something wrong with it when it's one of
the actual definitions of the word.
In short, this is a bunch of hoopla about nothing.

...then you are petty. I wish I would let something that insignificant make me froth at the mouth. How many folks in the industry have called the labels "the plantation" and called the contracts "slavery?" I couldn't get offended at those terms even if I had tried. I understand having tact and decorum but good grief, folks barely want you to say anything nowadays or else they're offended. A number of the same folks complaining will turn around and cry about anyone who wants to censor any form of artistic expression.
