Dispute the cheesy Diplo song, I think the worst of the bunch is the Tory Lanez song because that's the one I hear that most makes me want to hear the original.
what's crazy to me is that it's originally an anderson.paak song. i think it's on /venice/
**the following statement is my "bitter old head" moment for April 2016**
i can't believe dj luke nasty is touring off a fucking "freestyle" over someone else's song. did he license it? is he paying royalties? the success of this song is baffling to me on an intellectual level but i also recognize its catchiness

>this one somehow got bigger.
i think this is how it went for me as well

but these kids today!
i'm more interested in the politics of this. i really want to know if the original songwriters are getting money from this dude
fwiw my irritation of this song's success didn't really take hold until i heard a commercial on the radio station (this was a while ago) that was basically a mr. nasty voicemail message that began with:
"ayyyyyy. i got a feeling that you might be... coming to club soandso to see me on monthdayyear"
it's not fair of me to begrudge the guy success. and he clearly did something with the instrumental that .paak didn't/couldn't so that's something. i guess the situation isn't that unique since robert shmurda took that lloyd banks beat and made a career off it...
