"Poll question: bad credit on a nigga is just so unsexy."

is good credit still cool? am i late to the party?

yo. credit card debt used to be something i kinda understood.

i was on the side of, 'them niggas aint getting no money from me. fuck it. it'll drop off in 7 yrs. i think'

but now, it seems like that shit aint really that hard to get a handle of.

why it be so hard for people?

as a nigga with new a handle on his credit, im feeling like 'shit, nigga. if -I- could do it. you could do it.'

am i typing from a 'perch'?

...

what's your credit like?

Because there are several free options for not just getting your report but actual credit monitoring. Once you are monitoring the 3 bureaus and see the effect of just one negative item, or even just having your card balances go up and I increase your debt utilization, it will quickly motivate you to not let it happen again.

after knocking it back over many years and rarely using them in the process. credit score is dope now. two main things - unionized job with career stability and rent-controlled apartments - helped make those happen. could have happened way sooner if i wasn't wildin out on traveling abroad. income inequality, lack of jobs/stability, de-unionization, higher ed fees, etc are conditions that help to create desperate people card companies love to capitalize on and exploit.
