"You ever get a gift that sent conflicting messages?"
One of my supervisors just gave me an early birthday card since she’ll be out all next month.
Now that’s thoughtful. I loathes cards of all kinds BUT this card was actually quality and she took the time to write something personal. She actually hit the two basic notes I need to appreciate a card and that was enough. Then she included a gift card. Dope! $10 to boot.
Seems thoughtful. Caring. Dare I say, a light touch of affection.
The conflict?
The card is to Chipotle. Now, I like Chipotle. But all I can think of is norovirus. AKA, Chorro Virus.
Now I’m worried she hates me and this is a sly way to get me before she leaves.

i think she just forgot all the hoopla surrounding chipotle right now.
i mean, who doesn't love chipotle?! a few months ago that would've been an awesome gift.

i got a puppy for my birthday from a man with severe commitment issues
to ME, a puppy (coupled with a surprise birthday dinner in which my friends and line sisters were invited) says..."i love you. i'm committed to this. see? this is the first step towards building our little family"
to HIM, a puppy says,"woof woof" - nothing more/less
