So I'm talking to a friend and she mentions how some cat at her job calls her his work wife. I remark that I haven't heard that term in ages and I miss my old work wife. She says it's inappropriate to have such a relationship. This takes us down the road of me first explaining what a work wife is and that it's perfectly normal to be attracted to a co-worker (not that you have to be to have a work wife...) even when you have someone at home. The problem is when you act on that attraction.
Because of this view she says I have "wandering eyes".
Then I try to drill home the idea that people are more often than not attracted to more than one person at a time. She asked me if I would be ok if my boy was attracted to my lady. I said I want him to be, who wants a woman that nobody else is attracted to. The thing again is about action. Also overtime you begin to see the person as So and So's lady or man and the attraction goes away.
The friend says no it doesn't work that way and I have a wandering soul (I guess I leveled up).

i use to have a work husband (now I have a work fling...he's okay sometimes but he's not reliable or consistent). I do have a work wife and we always go out and have fun. they are both cute but it's not about that at all.
but yes, you can be attracted to multiple ppl at one time even if you are in a relationship. just because you get a mate doesn't mean you die, but like you said, it's about acting on that attraction. i mean anyone i befriend it's because there is some level of attraction there (not even sexual but something about them that catches my attention). but i mean come on...she doesn't find anyone else but her SO attractive? i mean that's cute and cool and all but all these fine ppl in the world and no one else is attractive to you?

HE WAS HEATED!!! For 2 weeks he said he would watch her get ready for work while simmering. "Why you gotta wear that nice shit"
not sure I ever heard of a coworker actually telling the real husband or wife they were the work spouse.

I can't even fathom telling some cat "I'm your wife's work husband." That's lightweight saying WE share her but you aint know fam. When he retold the story he was pissed off. He is a pastor too..
I'm rolling the whole time he is telling me the story. His fist are clinched and we used to rumble at the drop of a hat back in HS so I know he wanted to hurt this dude.
Said he gave him the death stare but dude was grinning and oblivious.
The worst part about it is her job had them travelling all over the world.
