For me so far: Paul Simon in May Project Pabst in May (Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Violent Femmes, Big KRIT and more) Lettuce, the Wailers and Grandmaster Flash at Red Rocks in June
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Gasparilla Music Festival 3/12-3/13 - Erykah Badu & Talib are the big headliners. http://gasparillamusic.com/
Duran Duran 4/2
Pearl Jam 4/11 - They're one of my girl's favorite bands. I'm not really up on them. She really wants to hit this one but it's been sold out. Stubhub is trying to bankrupt folks.
Alabama Shakes or Beyonce 4/29 - I would much rather see the Shakes again. My girl was kinda split down the middle. but her friend may be coming to town that weekend & the friend preferred the Shakes too. We'll see.
Hall & Oates 5/21
I really wanted to hit Okeechobee Festival this weekend but we have scheduling conflicts. http://okeechobeefest.com/

Just saw Hall and Oates (With M.Hawthorne and S.Jones w/the Dap-Kings)at MSG and had a great time.
It took a couple of songs for H&O to warm up but once they stretched out and got comfortable the show got going.
Everyone know that they were incredibly successful, but it's hard to appreciate until you hear a full show of nothing but top 40 70's and 80's goodness.

We get Trombone Shorty and Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings. Trombone Shorty is dope but we saw him not too long ago. I'd much rather get Mayer Hawthorne. oh well.

Man, that sounds like it'll be a fun show. I'm def looking forward to it.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the set times yet. They announced four hosts so I think it will be four stages each with their own headliner. From what I gather the crowd tends to skew younger which has kept me away until this year, haha. Each year the organizers (Rhymesayers founders) do a great job of picking acts from all eras, legends and up-and-comers. It really is incredible the level of success/ support Rhymesayers has been able to build and sustain over the years.
