i collect comics with Black folks as the lead characters and love the ones with actual facts/history in them

Golden Legacy hold a special place for me because they were actually CREATED by blackfolks on most every level (publishing, art, writing)

the twist is how some folks convinced the printer they were partners, ordered a bunch of books (basically stealing their work) and was printing/selling books on the side and not paying the originators/owners for them

twas a big messy lawsuit and ultimately the creators got shafted by the court (the "won" but far less than they should have)
