A former Oklahoma City police officer convicted of raping and sexually assaulting several women as he patrolled a low-income neighborhood in the city will spend the rest of his life in prison. Jurors recommended that Daniel Holtzclaw be sentenced to 263 years in prison for preying on women in 2013 and 2014. District Judge Timothy Henderson agreed, and ordered Holtzclaw to serve the terms consecutively. Judge Henderson also denied his request for an appeal bond. According to prosecutors, Holtzclaw targeted Black women in neighborhoods north and east of the state Capitol building. Thirteen women testified against him during the month-long trial, which led to his conviction on 18 counts, including four first-degree rape counts, forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery, and second-degree rape. Holtzclaw was acquitted on 18 other counts.

Consecutively means once he serves one sentence, the other one starts. So if he got 18 counts that total 263 years, he'd have to live to be almost 3oo years old to see the light of day again.
