A-Trak was a world champion DJ at age 15, apprenticed by Q-Bert & D-Styles, Kanye's DJ from College Dropout through Graduation, a hit producer (Barbara Streisand by Duck Sauce), and playing for massive crowds. Dude's got a real career, you dummies.

BUT, did he realize that it was The Roots backing him?
i guess i more hope the answer is "yes" simply because that's a flagrant incident of ignorance from someone who should know based on his position and experience in music and hip hop.

He's got every right to not feel Kendrick's music. You can't be right or wrong on something that subjective. However, once you start proclaiming what hip hop should or should not be, then you're asking for your card to be pulled. I just don't think his contributions to the culture are anywhere near great enough to be declaring what is or isn't hip hop.
