We were wearing Triple Fat Goose jackets in the 80's, but this brand seems to be the rage with young, urban white folks.

It's always been the go to ridiculously priced jacket to get for the winter

last year when i first moved to nyc i went to the camping/rugged store for a winter coat.

i gave my requirements and the staff started to show me a few items.

when I pointed at the Canada Goose jackets and said "what about those?" the associate looked me dead in the eyes and said

"you going on an expedition in Antarctica? No? Well you don't need no Canada Goose. You get those when you go to a subzero environment"

If you're not working outside, or live in super cold weather provinces (Albert, Saskatchewan,Manitoba and Quebec) you have no business in one of those coats.

It was 40 degrees and I was freezing my ass off.

but for $900, I'll cop something cheaper and spend the leftovers on urgent care if I catch frostbite. I might come out ahead if the winter isn't too bad.
