Although, today when my son saw the tree going out with the trash he said "Daddy bring my Christmas tree back in the house"...and I almost wanted to do it. Lol

That's when it was done when I was young and growing up in Louisiana. The tree was removed on that night. It was a tradition that ushers in Carnival/Mardi Gras season.

i removed my Xmas tree and decorations b4 i left for vacay on the 23rd. b/c i knew i wouldn't be back here b4 the 31st. meanwhile some ppl still have their stuff up. one office still has xmas lights on.
