Damn, those were the days...

I was the Long John Silver of the internet.

I was working at an ad agency with a T1 connection, and had BellSouth DSL at the crib. I turned a few of my coworkers on to Napster, and we became a big ass file sharing pirate ship.

Until IT shut us down for loading up the office servers with MP3s.

Despite only being able to get 100 results at a time, I could literally get anything I wanted. Even local acts from around my way. The only other p2p program that came the closest to it was KazaaLite Plus, a major improvement over the previous Kazaas.
