"Concrete ways you've detected yourself maturing."

In the last 3 or 4 months, I'm stopping myself from making corny, sophomoric jokes in mixed company alot more. Like, I'm way better at predicting that certain things just won't go over well and not doing or saying them, particularly when they won't be funny or aren't necessary or even true.

When I was younger I'd try doing things like working on credit, improving fitness, making career moves,. etc., but years ago I was likely to either lose interest or let a setback completely stop me. But over the last couple years when I set a goal the determination is much more high and it just gets done.

The issue is I don't dream as much as when I was young, so less goals get set. I've come to a realization that I'm currently in a sweet spot of balance in energy and wisdom, and I need to take advantage of it as much as I can to get things done while I still have the energy.

I used to veg out on college football, and watch quite a bit of NFL on Sunday as well. Now I hardly watch any outside of the Fresno State game and pretty much 1 game max on Sundays.

I also used to geek out HARD on the NFL combine and the draft. Now, I couldn't care much less...I keep a bit of an eye on the draft, but I don't follow the combine at all, or even draft boards, really.

-MLB game are for socializing
-NHL is for live viewing
-NBA is TV drama
-European soccer mostly revolves around mangers, unhappy star player & transfer rumors

In response to Reply # 0

Less concrete

I'm neater

More generous

More careful with things. (But this has been awhile. I haven't lost a glove in 9 yrs.)

Have very few/almost no wants, esp when it comes to materialistic things and physical objects.

Extremely emotionally stable. Basically nothing bothers me. But I have nothing to be upset over and an extreme amount of autonomy.

years ago paying bills were definitely optional. now, sheeeeeit...those bills are getting paid with every paycheck. and i'm about to be the owner of a home and i'm looking around at what i have to fix and how i'm going to get it done and i'm listening to people talk about who they use for their home improvements and maintenance and i'm stockpiling numbers of people that can fix this house. it's so weird being an adult. like an adult adult. not the "i can legally get in the club" adult but the "career minded, health insurance co-pay having" adult.

way diff than before. I used to buy stuff for a certain level of comfort, but that usually meant it was too loose. like a 2x in shirts or 38 in pants.

now I'm into this more snug-fitting gear. so now its either large or XL and 36 in the pants. people can actually tell that I've been lifting now that my shirts are smaller.

Y'all buy those labels, I was born supreme
