If you can't figure out how to represent yourself professionally on a networking site for professionals I have zero confidence in your ability to be professional on the job.

I had a guy once interview with me. he was 40 minutes late, then showed up with his shirt unbuttoned down to his chest. I wanted to tell him to kick rocks the moment I saw him, but had to at least bullshit through an interview.
