"Poll question: Father of the bride calls out the "unplanned" baby during the ceremony"
I DJd a Wedding this past weekend, and the Father of the Bride is a Pastor, and he was the officiant of the Wedding. Everyone's vibe was great...the Groom was smiling the entire time, she was happy, everything was all jokes.
While speaking about the couple, the Dad said:
"Lord, we would like to bless this couple. We would also like to bless the unborn baby who is in the womb of the Bride right now. Although it was unplanned, he will make a remarkable addition to the new couple's life."
The couple appeared to be all good...but I could tell some folks in the crowd reacted like "oh??" as if they didn't even know that she was pregnant. I'm sure some of them even felt like it was a shotgun Wedding at this point.
Along with this....the Groom made his brother the best man. When it was time for the Best Man Toast-Speech, he came up, and was like "wait, I'm supposed to talk in front of all these people? What am I supposed to say??" I told him it's easy, just to talk about growing up with him, and how it was when he first met the wife. He says...."but I just met her!!!!!" We both fell out laughing, but I was just like...well!

It's possible that they weren't making a secret out of 1) her being pregnant and 2) the pregnancy being unplanned. If that's the case, it's not their problem how the attendees react.
If it was something they wanted to keep on the low, then you, obviously it was bad form.
