EXCLUSIVE
LAMAR ODOM
FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE
FOUND UNCONSCIOUS AT NEVADA BROTHEL

10/13/15 8:27 PM PST

12 Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after falling into unconsciousness at Dennis Hoff's Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Sources at the Love Ranch tell us ... 35-year-old Odom arrived at the Ranch Saturday and was partying with the girls for days. A source at the Ranch said Lamar was taking an herbal substitute for Viagra.

On Tuesday afternoon, someone went into Odom's room and found him unconscious. The person rolled the former NBA star over and saw fluid streaming out of his mouth.

An ambulance took Lamar to Pahrump hospital, where doctors intubated him ... an indication he could not breathe on his own.

We're told Lamar is being airlifted from the hospital to Las Vegas for more treatment.

I saw a guy take 4 of them in a 3 hour time frame and he got an erection so bad that they had to carry him out on a stretcher. No lie-and this was on the job.
You know those old guys that brag about tricking on young women? This fool popped 2 in hour intervals, then the last 2 in the third hour. And that shit hit him out of nowhere. He came running out the bathroom with his pants around his ankles and laid in the floor with hard meats. A female coworker saw that shit and covered him with her sweater, then called the manager. And let me tell you, when they rolled his stupid ass out of there the whole crew was laughing at him, tent pitching under the stretcher sheet and all.

this was 2nd shift on a shutdown night, so when he started it was 8pm. Usually on shutdown nights the place is clear around 11:15 or so. Apparently he was going over ol' girl's house after that.

In response to Reply # 42

According to the FDA...

"FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that La Pepa Negra contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved prescription drug Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). This undeclared ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates."

Just noticed "opiates" (probably heroin) in the non-mobile article tho, so i guess that answers that.

>Lamar Odom had cocaine in his system and track marks on one of his
>arms ... so claim witnesses at the hospital where Lamar lies
>unconscious.

>The witnesses tell TMZ ... doctors have determined the former NBA star
>had cocaine and opiates in his system -- but it's still unclear if the
>track marks are fresh or from previous drug use.

http://www.tmz.com/#article/2015/10/13/lamar-odom-unconscious-brothel-hospital

Edit: The "lol, nah" was in response to the TMZ article, and not you BTW.

people who are reality tv fans might look at sports as being silly just like sports fans might look at reality tv as being silly.

plus if it wasn't for the Kardashians and the show, Odom wouldn't even be getting the coverage that he's getting.

my point was that you can't get mad at the media for labeling him a reality tv personality or whatever else bc thats what he is to the majority of people that have interest in this story. (of course sports fans likely have a more genuine interest/want to see him recover)

But whatver the case, lamar chose to be a part of that life.

He is faulting "journalists" for pushing an agenda as opposed to doing their job.

It is their job to do research and report factual information. It is disrespectful to minimize someone to a "reality tv star" when in fact that person has accomplished much more in their life.

Regardless of what arena people know Odom through, it is reporters responsibility to provide facts and properly portray individuals without bias. They should be teaching people that Lamar is much more than "a reality tv star" which is what SVP actually did.

Cable news is filled with bullshit and is all about a "catchy headline" due to endorsements. That's where the problem comes in because their ethics and morales are constantly pushed to the side in order to attract viewers.

Again, I can't be mad at the news for putting out bs stories if thats what the MAJORITY of folks wanna see. If an outlet kept their ethics/morales and actually stuck to real news, they'd lose viewers, advertisements and be replaced with a show that attracts viewers.

The main point is, don't reduce a person's life accomplishments for ratings when you're a news network for the sole purpose of appealing to the lowest common demoninator.

or was in some tragic accident. The nigga was high on drugs at a brothel.

If you don't want networks to define you as a Kardashian then don't fuck with a Kardashian.

Y'all act like 60 minutes did a hit piece. Odom ain't that important unfortunately.

ESPN is dedicated to sports and Odom is getting support from the network.

what do you really want/expect for a guy passed out in a brothel tho?

The culture in this country to kick people when their down is a major issue.

A Kardashian reality star who passed out from drugs in a brothel puts an entirely different spin on the factual situation of Odom's life.

If you're a responsible news network, you would tell then entire story.

The basic thinking in the country is at an all time low. Odom's story being told accurately shouldn't be dependent upon him "curing cancer". His story speaks to many issues people deal with in this country and while he is not innocent in this situation by any means, he is an example of one of the systemic problems in this country. But people only look for face value and aren't concerned with having actual conversations that require you to peal back layers of a situation. People can't be bothered with actually usin their brain to analyze. Instead we fall in line and conform to anything told to us in the media.

Keep thinking basic along with your boy in this post, just don't get mad when you are said to be a part of the problem.

ESPN is available for anyone who wants an in depth look at Odoms life.

Your expectations for the networks are delusional. The average American knows Odom for being on a Kardashian show... it is what it is.

If he passed I would expect a longer tribute to his contributions but in a 30 second clip...not so much.

The guy fell off as an athlete and reintroduced himself to the rest of America as Kloes husband.

Ocho Cinco was a good WR but all most people remember is he is the guy who fought a reality star over some condoms.

If you don't want to be a reality star don't sign onto a reality tv show.

That's all I'm saying.

You and the majority are content with bullshit and inaccurate information.

It IS their responsibility to report the story accurately. How is it not?

ESPN's job is to report sports.

instead of focusing on his basketball career.

if they listed his basketball career on the news he woulda popped out of his coma instantly

the news' job is to report the news... Lamar was in a brothel passed out on drugs. Did they get it wrong? ESPN talked about his sports career and some news stations talked about his reality tv career.

what is the real problem?

Lamar Odom?

I mean, if all that was said to identify him was Kardashian REality star(without his name) then yeah that's disrespectful. But it would be disrespectful to anyone, not just lamar bc he's a former bball player.

In response to Reply # 60

Lamar Odom was able to breathe on his own, with the help of a mask rather than a ventilator ... TMZ has learned.
Our sources say doctors are trying to get Lamar functioning on his own, so a few minutes before this story was posted, they took him off the ventilator and put a breathing mask on Odom.
We're told doctors are putting him back on the ventilator and used the mask as a test, and they plan on going back and forth to see if Lamar would be able to breath without heavy life support.
It's another hopeful sign. As we reported, tests Friday morning revealed Lamar's heart has shown some improvement. That said, our sources were quick to add Lamar is not out of the woods by any means, and it's unclear if he'll be able to sustain breathing on his own.

would be amazing story if he got back into the league somehow.

seems like after he lost his mom, kid and wife his game spiraled. then, accordingly, he was unwanted by the league...which sped up his downward spiral.

to get hoop back (on his terms) might really help him out.

One of the biggest falloffs ever from one season to the next when he left the Lakers though. He was only 32 when he left the Lakers....anyone would've thought he had at least 2-3 more productive seasons in him. I think his demons been getting the best of him for years now, and this was the breaking point.....and hopefully it's rock bottom. Hopefully he can survive and turn his life around from here. He's always seemed like a genuine good dude.

He was ineffective his last 2 seasons, and has been out of the league for 2 entire seasons. Even if this didn't happen, his chances of being back in the NBA were close to 0.

I just hope he makes it and can live a functional life and take care of himself.
