Tech: The Verge
Gaming: Polygon
Cars: Jalopnik, though there's a new site called The Drive that's pretty nice
News: CNN or BBC if I'm looking for articles about a specific story, otherwise I don't really read general news sites

There's other sites that are okay that I will click through too, but those are the sites I will automatically go to if I want to know whats up in those specific areas. I still go to forums a lot too.
