Pastor Troy, Three 6 Mafia, No Limit, Cash Money, Drama, etc are some of the first artists I can recall off top to do alotta trap. 55 - 70 beats per minute or so, shotgun snares, bounce, heavy bass, etc Some people will say the lyrical content is aggressive, but as this post proves, the lyrics can be about anything just like any other style of music.

One of the engineers at Grand Hustle while Trap Muzik was being recorded was Daniel Disaster aka MEGANFOXXX aka Heroes x Villains, the pioneer of "trapstep", the precursor to modern "white trap".

Today's "white trap" music is generally pretty indefensible. But that isnt what it was, and the people who like it nowadays would have never stepped foot into the clubs where it was born.
