New York is 75% packed up and ready to go to DC this weekend.
I have a call with the movers tomorrow to set a date for them to come pack up my DC household.
I locked down the last 2 bedroom unit in the building I want (rent is literally only $150 a month more than what I was paying in New York where I had two roommates)... I got a 2 bedroom because I want a room for visitors... I expect a lot of visitors. Flights to Vegas are cheap.
I am going to buy a car on Monday, which the company will move to Vegas for me so that I don't have to deal with that once I get out there.
A week from now, I'll be landing in Aruba and spending the next 7 days laying on a beach reading trashy novels getting a tan and appreciating the fact that I'm in between jobs so there will be no emails piling up awaiting my return.
Debating if I'm going to set up a place for drinks on Thursday for any NYers that want to say good-bye, but I'm the queen of ghosting, so probably not.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Green Mile is a movie where the magical black man wrongly dies and the white man who let it happen lives forever.
Stay off the strip and you'll be fine. Lotta Detroit transplants out that way tell me the locals pretty much stay off the strip after about the first month or so.
Zappos is a world unto itself. The major casinos and whatnot really don't bother with whatever Zappos is doing.
