I mean black Johnny Storm-- ok I guess kinda cool but weird. Just trying to figure out what the story will be regarding this odd "throw a black guy in the role for no reason" decision.

I'd think in a flash back if at all. Probably a co-scientist that dies.

I don't know if it sucks, but I'm thinking it doesn't have much action.

If Doom isn't a sorcerer scientist then it'll suck right out the gate.

why explain a Black Johnny Storm?

They don't want to call for peace then.

Reg E. Cathey is playing Father Storm. Which is an interesting choice, as it doesn't go for the "benevolent white family adopts Black child and allows him to flourish" trope.

Sadly, I fear the movie is gonna suck no matter what. Fox doing an embargo on reviews until the film's release doesn't bode well.

And the dad takes the daughter in. I wonder if a black man would even be able to adopt a white child (and a girl at that) in real life? That alone might qualify the movie as fantasy fiction.

They keep calling it 'lo-fi'. I bet it's gonna be a whole lot of talking and character stuff and philosophizing. Like Ang Lee's Hulk.

Which I liked, but most people don't care for that.

Seem like the trailer basically showed everything they could to convince Viewers "we swear this movie will be good"; so it was a good trailer at least

He showed kid read teleporting his car to the negative zone; it really does look like a good adaptation of ultimate fantastic four
