I've mentioned before that my in-laws are a bunch of crazy FOBs with no boundaries and an over-eagerness to help. They stay fucking something up trying to be helpful. Well this past week(end) my wife's uncle, aunt and cousin came for a semi-unannounced visit (1 day notice) four-day visit. We didn't have enough notice to take off work, so that left them in our house for 2 days unattended.
When they left, I did a walk-through and was shocked to find that, other than the two dress shirts they shrunk while doing my laundry, they hadn't really done any harm. This morning, I saw my 10 month-old pulling on the bumpers we put on the corners of the coffee table for his safety. He can usually pull them off, so they don't really serve much of a purpose. In fact, I stopped re-attaching them. This time was different. He couldn't get it off. I pulled on one and found it FIRMLY affixed...a little too firmly. Lo and behold, these mutherfuckers used SCREWS to attach these bumpers to my SOLID WOOD coffee table. They put HOLES IN MY FUCKING FURNITURE.
