"Is there another album just as good as The Chronic, 2001, Doggystyle"
I like The Chronic, 2001, and Doggystyle. Is there another Death Row/West Coast album just as good as these albums?

there's a lot of dope west coast shit, but it don't sound like Death Row, so i don't know what to tell you.

honestly, both those groups kinda his their west coast twang on their debuts.
I was thrown off when Souls started sounded real Oakland hard R on their second album.

Dogg Food waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay way way more.
And people don't even realize how much it inspired other songs/artists/albums. I feel like Trillville "Some cut" = "Bomb ass pussy." And the hook on "And then what" from Jeezy/Mannie Fresh also came from "Bomb ass pussy."

The funny thing is that 20+ years later rap demographics have changed and anything coming out of Texas now is no longer considered to be West Coast. Now in 2015, i guess it's to be labeled as Southern rap.

Texas has always been considered Southern rap. We never considered Scarface or the Geto Boys West Coast. D.O.C. was considered West Coast because of his affiliation with N.W.A. and Dre.

I don't know what it is. Maybe I can't stand Eminem. Plus Eminem writing Dre's lyrics. Something about this album is highly corny to me.
The Chronic is raw but 2001 feels watered down.
I was also listening to Doggystyle and it's straight.
Another thing I noticed is on The Chronic there's these skits about "Africans," I think that's where Marshawn Lynch got his "Where my true African's at?"
